02 January 2012 Are you asking the difference between PO and non-stock PO?

A normal PO is issued for materials that are regularly used in production.

A non-stock item is used for procuring consumable items, those items which are not input for the production process.

Any asset to be purchased is also purchased through a non-stock PO.

Non stock PO is used to procure ALL kinds of items EXCEPT stock items (used in normal production).
