does institute give exemption if I have done exceptionally well in one paper but very poor in rest of the papers?

In CA you have to appear in all paper and score 60 or more in any paper to claim the exemption in that paper. So even if you are poor in one paper but get 60+ in another you will be eligible for exemption.
