19 November 2016 Sir, I dont have vat RC n now we need to enroll for GST but till march 17 I need vat no as it is required to dealers ..so what should I do ? should I register in mvat after enrolling for gst then will my 25000 carried forward ??

20 November 2016 It appears that you need VAT no. by March 17 and you need to deposit an amount of Rs. 25000 towards Security Deposit. Your concern is, whether the Security Deposit shall be carried over as credit in respect of GST registration. So far, there is no clarity, whether security deposit is required for GST. Any refund arising in respect of VAT shall be dealt with by the respective VAT law.

20 November 2016 thank you sir.. so that date of 30/11 for enrollment of gst is not the last date na ? we can enroll even after that ?

20 November 2016 Yes 30/11 is not last date. Existing dealers can enroll till 31/01/17. The above dates are for existing dealers. Since you are not an existing dealer, this date is applicable to you. Separate registration procedure shall be notified for persons, who do not have VAT no but required to registered for GST. To clarify, if you are not liable to register under VAT, you need not register with VAT. You can straight away register with GST, if it is made applicable wef 01/04/17.
