PF LIABILTITY OF CONTRACTEE

THE COMPANY(PF IS APPLICABLE) HAS ENGAGED A CONTRACTOR FOR WORK AND CONSTRUCTION PROJECT . NOW MY QUESTION IS THAT IF THE CONTRACTOR DOESNT DO COMPLIANCE OF PF ACT, WHETHER THE LIABILITY OF PF PASS ON TO THE CONTRACTEE COMPANY.

The Principal is liable for the acts of the agent. This rule applies to PF act also. If the Contractor has not deducted and deposited PF, then the Contractee is liable to pay PF with penalty.
