Pf contribution exceeding rs.6,500/-

07 August 2014 Dear Sir,

In the budget FY 2014-15 PF contribution limit has been increased from Rs.6,500/-.

I would like to know the effective date when employer/employee needs to contribute PF as per current budget provisions?

07 August 2014 "The Honible Union Minister of Finance in the Budget speech for 2014-15 has announced enhancement in statutory wage ceiling for enrolment under the EPF & MP Act 1952 to Rs. 15,000/- per month from the current maximum of Rs. 6,500/- per month. The notification for same is likely to be issued shortly."

Dear Tushar Text from link given by you has been reproduced above. Please read carefully. It says it is 'announced' and 'Notification for same is likely to be issued shortly". So how can you say its notified and effective from 01.04.2014?
