02 February 2014 I m really confused whether to appear for both groups of ipcc or not. .i hve just cleared cpt with 159 marks some r advising me to appear in group 1 only..so that I get enough time to focus on my concepts. .while some to appear in both groups. .as it has many benefits like good training nd better future scope..what to do

02 February 2014 focus on one group .Complete & revise it thoroughly.Then decide how much time you are left with & whether or not you can prepare for next group within that time.
Make your own strategies rather than going for different suggestions.Just speak to person who has done or is doing CA & discuss whole syllabus with that person.Your marks shows you have the callibur to manage both groups.
Yes definitely if you appear in both groups in one sitting you stand a chance to get rank in ipcc which will ultimately help you when you go for training in good firms or big 4s.As many firms seek for the candidates who have cleared both groups of ipcc so that their studies doesn't hinder their articleship assignments.
