Payment period of VAT wrongly mention

I have paid VAT for month of March 16 before due date as per rules.But due to my mistake payment period mention by me is 1-3-2015 to 31-3-2015 instead of 1-3-2016 To 31-3- 2016.whether credit is allow .

It depends, if vat is not credited you can give letter to vat office to change the period /year.
