Dear sir,
I am cma imandar khan deposit vat on 21st of the following month due to 20th of the following month was holiday.
deptt. make demand for interest .Is it valid or not.
Please advise me any one.

Unless the department of trade taxes announces an extension of last date the statutory date stands and you will have to pay interest and penalty as per rules.
