03 February 2011 We assessee the manufacturer of Marble Slabs at Dadra & Nagar Haveli, we are paying the service tax on service of transportation of goods by road. My question is Can we paid the service tax at our other place of Business at mumbai ?. Both the business based on same PAN no.

03 February 2011 if the two entities are registered separately then you have to pay at respective places only. Since, the billing address, usage and accounting entries are in the name of your D & N H or Mubai office address.Otherwise, this can be done only if you have a centralised registration.

08 February 2011 Sir, We have purchased Forklift for packing & loading purpose & Fire Extinguisher. Can we take Cenvat Credit on it which imposed.?

08 February 2011 On Forklift you can take CENVAT. Fire Extinguisher if the amount is very small you can ignore (on conservative side)otherwise you can take credit
