Payment made to ho instead of site

17 July 2013 Dear sir,

In our company there are two service tax code one for Site office and another for Headoffice as Distributor.

In this month they have paid service tax payment under HO account instead of Site.How to correct this.

Pls clarify

17 July 2013 It is preferable to take centralised registration and then only add the sites as and when work starts in a new place. Thenb the separate registration maybe surrendered. This would also enable availment of credit/ disputes later.

17 July 2013 Two registration is also not required if both unit are same. You should take centralised registration. No need to pay service tax.
