Partnership in a ca firm

I am a CA holding COP and FRN . I wish to surrender my FRN in order to enter into a partnership with another existing CA firm. I have the following questions in this regard:
1. How do I surrender my FRN ? How long does it take the institute to acknowledge the surrender of the same?
2. What is the procedure for entering into a partnership?
3. What is the procedure for a CA having COP becoming a full time employee in a CA firm ?
