One of my client's name in PAN card is Paras Kumar Jain which is also the correct name but in income tax e-filing portal the name against the same PAN comes as Prakash Kumar Jain. The assessee has contacted the e-filing helpline and NSDL but they only said to apply for change in PAN details which is not required as the PAN contains correct name. Due to this we are unable to file his income tax return online. What to do and whom to contact? kindly reply.
