15 August 2014 AFTER incorporation of private company, which should be done first TAN or PAN and why?

15 August 2014 You need to apply for PAN first because you can not apply for TAN without PAN.

15 August 2014 Both r independent and as per needs u should get it. Pan is more needed than tan.. choice is yours!!!

15 August 2014 How about Service tax registration? Should one have PAN or TAN for service tax registration?

15 August 2014 Are there any authorized facilitation centers for PAN application for company? If yes, does the application gets processed faster at these centers compared to time taken when application is made by company itself.

15 August 2014 Just checked TAN Application form.

TAN registration form says

" Permanent Account Number (PAN) (Specify wherever applicable)" and the filed is not mandatory.

Agreed that TAN can be applied without PAN.

But while filing TDS return PAN is required.

For Service Tax Registration PAN is mandatory.
