Pan card by married woman - first time application

14 April 2014 Dear Expert,

I am going to apply for PAN card of my wife. We married last year but there is no proof available in my wife's name because we shifted into another city.

I have rent agreement in my name as well bank account in my name but my wife doesnot hold any address proof in new city .

What documents required for her to apply for pan card.

Give me practical solution so that i can apply for pan card

14 April 2014 Certificate of identity and address signed by a Member of Parliament or Member of Legislative Assembly or Municipal Member of Legislative Councillor or a Gazetted Officer can be obtained.

Any other way to get the PAN Card, i do have rent agreement in my name as well I do have my bank account.

14 April 2014 if your wife have any id proof like ration card, voter id with any address

then you can apply for PAN

DUE TO PAN APPLICATION HAVE TWO COLUMN OF ADDRESS ONE FOR ADDRESS OF RESIDENT ANOTHER FOR OFFICE ADDRESS
THEN CURRENT ADDRESS YOU CAN FILL IN OFFICE ADDRESS COLUMN
AND CALL THE PAN ON OFFICE ADDRESS.

14 April 2014 Dear Sir,

I am confused then AO Ward / Circle because i want her to be assessed in current city where i am staying in rented appartment. She is from Delhi and I want her to be assessed in Karnataka. So there is no such residential proof in her name. I do have my rent agreement and bank account but nothing in her name as of now.

14 April 2014 Dear Sir,

Nothing is in her name but i do have marriage certificate and rent agreement in my name.

I want her to be assessed from Karnataka because We are staying here due to my job and want to settle down in future in karnataka only. Address proof is available in her name in Delhi. I dont want any prblm later on due to Assessing office ward and circle.

Plz give me practical solution.
