21 August 2012 Dear Expert,
A person who is a pensioner applying for PAN.
In this regard I have 3 queries -

1. In the column of source of income in form 49A, tick on the salary check box or income from other sources.

2. His father name is "Prithi" only and no surname, should I write it in last name or in first name.

3. Should I fill office address where he had worked or leave it blank.

Please advise me.

21 August 2012 1) Tick on income from other sources.

2) In the last name

3) if he is pensioner, leave it blank.

21 August 2012 If a pensioner is receiving family pension then INCOME FROM OTHER SOURCES
IF pension on his own behalf then Salary

2) As per your wish
3)If IFOS then no need & Salary then write office address
