Paid tax challan not appearing in 26as

08 April 2016 I paid my tax for AY 2016-17 (Self Assessment Tax (300)) thru Canara Bank on line on 7th Apr 2016 for Rs 29,000. The receipt shows correct name, PAN Number and AY Year. However 26AS was not showing the receipt. I filed my returns on Line yesterday but since the credit was not appearing automatically, I entered the amount, challan number, BSR code etc manually and filed returns and submitted and verified thru aadhar card.

Even now, the credit does not appear in 26AS. I tried call Canara Bank and even chatted. They say visit the branch in Bangalore. I am in Hyderabad, Female senior Citizen.

How do I get 26AS rectified? What email address should I send detail? How do I get email address of the concerned Canara Bank? The challan says "BANGALORE JAYANAGAR 9th BLOCK, BSR CODE 0242465.

I do not want get notice from Income tax for short payment of tax. Can any one help?

08 April 2016 Don't worry it is taking some time, the tax remittance appear in 26AS. Check 26AS after 15 days.

08 April 2016 OLTAS updation take some time Minimum one week both online and by challan , please check one week later same will be reflecting in 26AS.

08 April 2016 Wait for some days but why you are so worried...if you have paid rightly and you have challan which proper then no need to get tense before assessment you tax will be updated and you will not received any notice...!!!
