Dear sir,
What should be minimum no of employees in the company to get the Provident fund facilities?

Number of employees 20 or more

If the unit is running with power than 10 and if it is running without power than only 20.
Every establishment employing 20 or more employees will have to obtain PF Code and deduct PF and deposit the employees/employer contribution with the Govt./PF Trust.
If our establishment is having 4-5 people who are having lesser salary and all others have the basic salary of Rs.10,000/- and above, whether the provisions of the Act is applicable to our est.
Recently, there was an amendment reducing the number from 20 employees (above) to 10 employees for coming under the purview of the provisions of the Act. Kindly let us know whether the amendment has come into effect and if yes, effective from what date.
