I have tax a refundable of .Rs.120000.department issued me a refund of 108000 with an interest of Rs.1500. for balance they raised a demand.what journal entry should I pass to account this?

they issued refund only to the extent of 108000 with interest 1500.the balance was not remitted.the refund pertains to AY 12-13.

Check intimation under 143(1) as what they have disallowed or any mismatch is there
After that file a rectification your return will be reprocessed
