Online filing of it return for ay - 2016 - 17

I have to file Income tax return for the F Y 2015 - 16 ( A Y 2016 - 17 ). Nature of Income is " Profession " and I suppose, I have to file ITR 4.

Now, while I try to download the ITR 4 XL utility file for the A Y 2016 - 17 from Income tax web site, the said year is not available in the pull down menu, while other Assessment years are being offered.
While the IT portal accepts only XML file, how shall I file the return online ?

Please help me.

06 March 2018 https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/downloads/offlineUtilities?lang=eng This is the link. Here there is drop down option to select your AY and download offline utility. Then you can login in your account and download pre fill xml by selecting specific AY and ITR form and in your offline utility you can pre fill that xml and fill other details and file your return.
