18 December 2008 Dear experts,

we have purchased a notice board amount Rs.600/- for office now i am feeling some confusion about its cost category nature its part of Printing & Stationery or Office Exp or anything else ???

18 December 2008 Office expenses and you can also add this to Furniture and fixtures.

19 December 2008 may be treated as revenue expenditure under the head of Office Expenses. However, it may be capitalised as item of Furniture and Fixtures in a case the cost incurred is substantial and it will give an enduring benefit for a longer period.
