Under Companies Act 1956, it was as prescribed by ICAI. ICAI had prescribed 30 corporate audits and 45 tax audits (both corporate and non-corporate) and this was the norm.
However Companies Act 2013, notified imn September 2013 prescribes a limit of 20 corporate audits.
