16 April 2009 I Deduct the TDS of party in First Quater & File the TDS Return but in next Quater no TDS deduct of Party.

My Query is :
(1) Can I Filed NIL Return of TDS is Require or it is Optional?

17 April 2009 Till 31.03.09, the rule required any person deducting TDS, need to file a return. If there is no deduction, no return need to be filed.

How ever, from 01.04.09 onward, the quarterly tds compliance statement need to be filed, even in case of nil deduction.
