16 April 2009 I Deduct the TDS of party in First Quater & File the TDS Return but in next Quater no TDS deduct of Party.

My Query is :
(1) Can I Filed NIL Return of TDS is Require or it is Optional?

17 April 2009 Till 31.03.09, the rule required any person deducting TDS, need to file a return. If there is no deduction, no return need to be filed.

How ever, from 01.04.09 onward, the quarterly tds compliance statement need to be filed, even in case of nil deduction.

17 April 2009 I agree with Mr. Shyam Lal Naik. If your case is related to period prior to 31.03.2009, then no need to file the NIL TDS return.
