New or correction in pan card upon company name change

After getting new certificate of incorporation upon change in name of private ltd company , should we apply for fresh pan card or do correction in existing pan card , since the 5th letter of pan card contains first name company???

Opt for correction in name in existing PAN Card please.

No New PAN. You need to apply for correction in PAN Data. PAN will remain same. 5th alphabet of PAN will remain as before. For this very reason in many cases you will find that 5th Alphabet is not matching with the 1st Alphabet of name of the company.

Apply for PAN Correction data with a copy of the Certificate of Incorporation with new name. Again confirmation mail will be received. You have to send the confirmation for getting the name changed.Generally it takes 2 to 3 weeks time.

Once allotted pan remains the same.
Attach the revised name certificate from ROC in correction form and get a new pan card with old pan,
