20 February 2011 Sir can u pls tell me about ncfm?what will be career prospects and earnings for ca along with ncfm?what will be duration of ncfm ?is any coaching necessary for ncfm?thanks in advance sir

21 February 2011 NCFM is a certification given by NSE for various modules (www.nseindia.com). You have to register for the module you want to appear upon which you get a book to prepare. You appear for the exam conducted by NSE on clearing which you get the certification. CA and NCFM are independent courses/certifications.

If you intend to enter into financial markets, then NCFM can be a good stepping stone. It gives you a good theoretical understanding of relevant module.

Coaching would depend on your background in securities market. It is certainly not necessary but is always advisable if you dont have any background in markets.
