11 January 2017 my mother , who ia a housewife and senior citizens, received family pension arrears of my father ( who passed away in 2010) for the period fy 2010 -11;11-12;12-13 in may 2016 ( FYI 2016 -17). my mother has paid all her taxes due for the previous financial years.my query is

1. my mother being a nominee to my father's pension, can she claim rebate as a process of inheritance/ nominations.

2. if tax is due, how should it be calculated.

3. will it call for revision of tax filed in the previous finance year 2010 -2013
