09 February 2008 In brief MIS is a report to the management on the informations required by the management.
Therefore, there is no prescribed format for this, it totally depends and differs from management to management, company to company, industry to industry..
Normally its a monthly report but some MIS may be daily and some quarterly.
A report on Cash Management Budget (Cash Flow Estimation), Estimation or projection of Sales, Purchase etc. and Budgeting of Capex and Opex... these all are nothing but MIS only.
