minor mistake in e-filling return

12 February 2011 I have filled return thru e filling of a woman for 2 years but in 1 year i have given wrong date of birth & in other i have not changed her gender from male to female. Do i need to file revised return for both year since both year refund is claimed . Pl advice

since the refund is claimed already.

it means the asseseement is done & closed.
now no need to file the revised return otherwise it will be problem.

12 February 2011 I mean while filing the return ,the same is with refund & not with SA. It is for a.y. 2009-10 & 2010-11 filed on 11.2.10

13 February 2011 you must file revised return with correct information because worng declaration is an offence not only under it act but also ipc. If you not file revised return then the notice could be issue to you client for wrong declaration.

13 February 2011 You can't file revised return because both returns filed after due date.
I think in the both cases department process these returns as per details in regarding of DOB and Gender in their data base.
If your client receive any unexpected intimation/notice in this regard you can file rectification u/s 154.

14 February 2011 just do it practically revised return can be file even after due date and cpc processing these return and sending refund etc.
