Can minor become a director in public company or in private company?
as some authors believe that DIN is not provided to minor but MCA not clarified about that.

Minor being not competent to contract can not become director of the company.

The instructions in Form 32 at page no 2 makes it clear.
It says
"Age of the appointee cannot be less than eighteen years"

In addition to the above
Director Identification Number (DIN) is compulsory for becoming a Director and a minor is not allotted a DIN.
Therefore a minor cannot become a Director.

IF PUBLIC COMPANY - MINOR NOT ELIGIBLE

Experts has given best answer, i will suggest you to follow their reply and module can be mistakenly said but a minor is not eligible to appoint in any form of director in any company.
Because, for private company also to be managing director he/she should be director and they will not DIN until they complete the age of majority.
So go ahead with expert.
