hi dear,
I have applied for Membership cum COP. I got membership No, but not COP. Can I sign Tax Audit report in my personal name as CA ? if yes, where it is written ?

you can not umtil you got COP.

but I heard COP becomes effective since we apply,i.e. we can do sign in our name until we get firm regn, no

You have heared correctly. If you have proper proof of applying the COP then you can sign the tax audit report. COP shall be given to you from the date when it was applied by you. But keep remeber one thing, at the time of signing the BS, you will have to mention the name of the firm, and until you get the certificate, you shall not be aware of the firm name allotted to you. So practically its difficult, but legally you can do so.

Sir, I dont have anything in writing but in my own case, I have signed like this in consultation with my seniors. Afterall, we have applied it. And its now their job to make it registered with immediate effects. If they failed to do so, then its their lacking. And in my case also, I got registration from the date when it was applied.
