07 September 2013 My friend is asking whether medical reimbursement and LTA is exempted from income tax.If yes what is the procedure for cliaming for the same.As he wants to arrive the correct TDS liability for the year 13-14

07 September 2013 LTA is exempted - only the ticket cost for the travel with family during leave and original tickets with boarding pass to claim the LTA exemption, actual travel fare is exempted

Medical reimbursement is exempted up to Rs.15000/- against submission of bills. medical bills for family
