13 April 2011 Employee has not submitted medical bills to employer before March-11.Employer deducted and paid the tax.
Can employee avail the deduction for medical reimbursement upto 15000 while filinh his return?

14 April 2011 If an employee submit medical bills to employer before filing tds returns of salary of the employer, then employee can request the employer though the employer has deducted tds on the said amount, Rs.15000/- should be shown as reimbursement of medical expenses and hence in form 16, the employer should show it as an exempt amount then in that case, employee can claim refund of income tax by filing the return of income

14 April 2011 Is there be any problem to employer to consider the reimbursement after deducting TDS?
What changes the employer required to be made for excess tds deducted?
