MEDICAL EXPS INCURRED ON PARANETS

13 June 2022 Dear sir/madam

I have icurred the medical exps of Rs. 2.00 Lac of my mother (dependent aged 75+) and no source of income of my father and i have no mdical insurance policy. Can i claim the any deduction for this in my ITR. If yes, how many and which section and which document is required for cliam.

13 June 2022 You can claim a maximum of Rs. 5000 each for preventive health checkup u/s 80D for self and parents.
Since there is no medical insurance, no other expenses are deductible.

09 July 2022 Check eligibility for sec. 80DD deduction.
Under sec. 80D you can claim medical expenditure upto Rs. 50,000/- over each parent.
