09 December 2010 Hi,

I am working in chemical co. In our company, we are prepared sales invoice in KGS. but now due to some reason (customer conflict), can we are prepare a sales invoice in Ltr.
Any effect in Rules of excise?
Any procedure for that(Change Kgs into Ltr)?
Can we menson in Label both Kgs. & Ltr.?

pls guideline. It's URGENT.

09 December 2010 Label isa standards weights& Measures or packaging commodites Act issue which is not indirect tax.
As far as excise is concerned, your registers ( especially the finished goods ) could have both measures for a year or so so that there wouldbe no disputes.
If you os desire u may intimate the dept though not necessary.
