Meaning of Restricted refund in bank account details on income tax portal

This query is : Resolved

Quick Summary
If your bank account shows 'Restricted refund' on the income tax portal despite being validated, it typically means there's a name mismatch between your bank records and your PAN details. While smaller refunds might still be credited, you'll need to rectify the name in your bank account to match your PAN. Once corrected, revalidate the account on the income tax portal to remove the restriction and ensure full refund processing.
