an audit conducted under the provisions of section 44AB of the Income-tax Act 1961 is called tax audit.
audit report has the same meaning as any audit report does..it is the report furnished by the auditor as an evidence of his auditing observations on the auditee

basically in simple words it means whther there is full compliance of income tax act and rules made there under or not and report is about that.
