19 May 2010 We are about to start a manufacturing facility for making Paper plates, all the raw materials for the same is supplied by the client.So what are the central excise formalities.No registration is taken so far.It will be taken in due course.

Please define clearly, are you a SSI Unit under NT.8/2003 or 9/2003...??
Registered under Central Excise..?

20 May 2010 Please intimate Excise immeidately with proper ground plan and the manufacturing activity. This is very much urgent.
Secondly, you apply for C.Excise Registeration, it will get within 4/5 days.
Third, account the material as Receipt, do not take credit if you dont want under Excisable product. Use NT.8/2003-SSI Unit and go ahead upto turnover limit crossing.
