01 June 2009 Can anybody tell me when we are registered as a service provider for more than one service than what is the code for payment of service tax penalty under section 70 for delay in submission of return.

01 June 2009 There is no common/uniform code for penalty payment for those who are providing multiple services. It varies from service to service.

Payment as per section 70 is late fee. Penalty is covered in section 77 of the Finance Act,1994.

01 June 2009 In the case of multiple service providers there is no common/uniform code for paying late fee as per section 70 r.w.r 7C. It varies from service to service.
