01 October 2008 One of my client is changing the constitution from prop to partnership

He is already a RD.

Suppose he enters into partnership on Day 1, When should he intimate Sales Tax Office, What are the procedures at Sales Tax Office.
Can Firm take voluntary Registration ?
OR Firm will be liable from Day 1 ?

Will firm have to pay Registration fees of Rs.5000 & Deposit of Rs.25000

01 October 2008 hello me jain, not only vat but even u should intimate and get pan and tan change,your banker,if u have registered with service tax even u have to inform them.but this will only happen if you are public going ahead of partnership and wanted to be implment as per law,you have to get registered your firm with registered of firm etc.it is better to regiseted from day one about registeration fees i am sorry iam not aware u can find from your local office

please go through the provisions relating to input tax reversal if any in case of change in constitution [i.e., cancellation of old registration]

tax applicability on closing stock

transfer of unavailable input tax credit if any in the propreitorship firm.

exemption from payment of tax if slae of business as whole is made to another business
