What benefit I will have if I take LIC policy before levy of Service Tax from 1st of october?

your premium is less
if you purchase LIC after imposition of ST,
your premium is increased by 12.36%
if you purchase LIC after imposition of ST,
your premium is increased by 12.36%

It may not make a big difference as the premium paid before 1.10.2013 only shall not be charged 3% service tax. on All premiums paid after 01.10.2013 shall attract 3% service tax
