05 September 2008 In some books, leave travel concession is made taxable for secified employees(V.K.Singhania student's guide page122), but nothing such is mentioned in neither income tax rules nor act. moreover, now perquisites falling under section17(2)(vi) are taxable for all employees.
Iam confused over this topic,please help me.

05 September 2008 LEAVE TRAVEL CONCESSION IS EXEMPTED U/S 10(5) READ WITH RULE 2B. I DONT HAVE THE BOOK REFERRED RIGHT NOW TO CHECK PAGE 122.IT MIGHT HAVE MADE TAXABLE DUE TO NON SATISFACTION OF THE SUB RULES SAY FOR EX:-SUB-RULE-4

05 September 2008 LTC is exempt for specified employee for 2 yrs out of block of 4 years. I don't thing that it is made taxable in v k Singhania' Books. If you have seen than tell me the name wheather DTL or student guide or ready reckoner
