23 May 2011 Dear Sir,

For the F.Y. 2010-11 we have deducted TDS on interest from individuals on 31.3.11 deposited the same on 28.04.11 and filed Return on 14.05.2011 in which we have got receipt no. (to be quoted on TDS Certificate). Let us know the last date for issuance of TDS Certificate to the parties.

23 May 2011 Last Date of Issuance of TDS certificate is 30th May 2011. i.e within 15 day from the due date of filing of TDS return which is 15th May 2011.

23 May 2011 As per new rules:

Due Date of Issue of TDS Certificates---

Salary (Form No.16)---(Annual) By 31st day of May of the financial year immediately following the financial year in which the income was paid and tax deducted

Non-Salary (Form No.16A)---(Quarterly) Within fifteen days from the due date for furnishing the ‘statement of TDS’.
