Sir,
I have KVP of Rs.30,000 on 21.07.2010 half yearly compounded & it will be matured on Feb.'2012 i.e.8 & 1/2 years. What is the amount of accured interest for the F.Y. 2009-10 i.e. for 7th year only for tax puroses?

Kindly correct your dates as u have mentioned "I have KVP of Rs.30,000 on 21.07.2010 half yearly compounded & it will be matured on Feb.'2012" which is not a period of 8& 1/2 years. and NSC interest accrues for 6 years only
