Itr-v not sent to cpc

31 January 2018 My friend filed income tax return for AY 2017-18 online within due date but forgot to send ITR-V to Income Tax - CPC within prescribed time limit of 120 days. Hence, his return got rejected by income tax department.

On the other hand another person's case is a bit different. The assessee didn't file his ITR in due date and failed to send ITR-V in due course because of which his return rejected by income tax department.

Pl advise in both the cases what to do now.

31 January 2018 In both the case file belated original return again u/s 139(4) before 31st March 2018 send ITR V within time or E verify.

Thank you for your prompt reply. Pl suggest also the method/system by which ITR of FY 2012-13 to FY 2015-16 can be filed.

02 February 2018 For those years return can be filed only in case of refund with approval of CIT on codonation application.
