ITR RELATED PROBLEM......URGENT, PLEASE HELP...

02 August 2010 Hi,
I have downloaded ITR -1 (saral II) PDF form utility from income tax site and generated xml file (every figure is correctly posted and at proper place in the form) which is successfully filled. But in the ITR - V (acknowledgement), the amount of total income is not showing in total income box. And this error is coming in every efiling acknowledgement.

Please tell me whether it is necessary to file revised return or not.

Please suggest me.

02 August 2010 Have not seen this type of error as yet. Please check if there is any error in filing ITR. If the ITR is filled properly then no need to file revise return.Bcoz ultimately the data provided in ITR which we upload in xml format will be in records of IT deptt. If you find an error then you can revise your return u/s139(5) as you have filed your return within due date.

02 August 2010 i also didnt find any problem...

you may try on a fresh downloaded form or it would be best if u use Excel utility..

02 August 2010 Dear friend,
Somewhere you are mistaken otherwise it could not happen. Its your error in filing ITR. Do check it again what mistake you are committing.
