ITR FILING OF THE DECEASED PERSON

Dear Sir/Madam
Is is mandatory to file the ITR of the deceased person of age 72 . The income was under 3 lacs. No tax liability. Although the income from fix deposits was shown in the for 26AS which was much below the income limit. We have been regularly filing the ITR though in the past. Please reply
