THIS IS MY HUSBAND'S PAN NO, HIS IT RETURN HAS FILLED BY HIS COMPANY EVERY YEAR. BUT THEY WONT GIVE ANY RETURN ACK, FORM 16, AND A/C STATEMENT. SO I TRIED IN THIS no TO TAKE THAT IN www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in. using forgot password option, BUT THE EARROR SHOWING THIS PAN NO IS NOT EXIST. PL TELL ME how to solve this AND WHAT STEPS I HAVE TO TAKE TO GET IT RETURN COPY ACK.

30 July 2012 I think you are trying it today and at this time till now there is some error with www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in so try after some time or tommarow. For some times due to changes to the site it show like the message said by you.

30 July 2012 One more thing as per my observation your pan no not at registered with the www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in
Those registered with the department only can e-file the return. Those file their return through e-filing only can get download the acknowledgments from the above site otherwise not possible.
Your pan no not registered with the department site so company didn't file your returns(i.e.your's husband return) through e-filing so you can't download the acknowledgments.

So i think the company may file manual returns so write a request letter to your AO to get the duplicate acknowledgment copies otherwise force the company to give acknowledgment copies else no other ways or chances to get the acknowledgments.
