31 July 2013 One of my known have income of Rs. 40,000/-in financial year 2012-13 from professional services . service receiver deducted tds RS.4000/- @ 10% and deposited. My quarry is she need to file income tax return? If yes which form should she need to fill up ?

31 July 2013 Yes she need to file income tax return for AY 2013-14 to get the refund of TDS. She needs to file the return in ITR 4.

31 July 2013 Thanks Sanjay. To fill up IT 4 is very difficult. in her case where professional income is only Rs40,000/- in which schedule i have to show her income because form is very lenthy and she had only income of RS 40000/-

31 July 2013 You need to show it in PART PL under "Sales/ Gross receipts of business or profession (Net of returns and refunds and duty or tax, if any)"
