Dear Sir ,
I am a service provider and i receive payments in advance i.e before the service is provided , my question is whether i can issue invoice on receipt of advance before service is provided . my 2nd question is whether i can issue invoice for whole amount of service before i start providing service?

when you haven't provided the services you should not issue invoice. because if after sometime there is any dispute then you have to return the payment (depend on your contract). if you have issued invoice and you returned the payment then you have to pay service tax on it from your pocket.
