16 December 2011 Hello and namastey to all the CA over here.
Please help me out as I am not from the commerce field. I have the following questions-

1.Is there a deadline to fill C FORM?
2.Is it true that, if last years C FORM is not submitted then we cannot apply for the current years C FORM.
3.Are TAX INVOICES compulsory to obtain a C FORM

Any kind of help will be greatly appreciated.

17 December 2011 Mr. Vaibhav,
Yes, a 'C' form has to be filed within three months of purchase or sale,otherwise the concessional rate of CST will not be allowed.
If you have not filed 'C' form for last year's sales your LVO will disallow and charge you full tax on such sales with penalty and interest on the difference of tax.When you go to ask for a 'C' form this point may not be checked,but if they find out this lapse, they may issue a notice.If they do not go to verify all such records in the concerned vat office they will issue one.
Yes, only a registered dealer on issuing a tax invoice only can levy reduced rate of tax,to another registered dealer....MJK
