Is service tax refundable?

If once i had charged service tax on an invoice thus the service tax is refunded back to the client in credit note.

29 August 2014 You mean you have issued a credit note for the value of service not provided,in that case you can take credit of the excess service tax so paid.The service receiver to whom credit notehas been issued cannot take teh cenvat credit of service tax so refunded.
